Summary of the Spade Clan
━━━━▣━━◤◢━━▣━━━━━
The Spade Clan made their home in the frigid mountains of the North. Braving the icy winters and the dark solstice skies, the Clan is known for its strength and nobility. Ruling the Clan with teeth and claws, High King Ragnvald demands honor and ruthlessness from his warriors to lead them to victory across the Valley of Gods. Spades are conquerors and warriors; flourishing when surrounded by blood and aggression. Often required to be fighters in some aspects, only a few outsiders are accepted into the ranks of the Spade Clan without the ability to kill, or required to possess the gift of Sight to be deemed useful. The Spade Clan relies on the teachings and guidance of the Norse Pantheon and specifically their Ace: Odin the Allfather. As warriors, the Spades provide offerings to Odin in the form of sacrificing their enemies in battle and should they die fighting- believe that they will be welcomed to Valhalla. When there are no enemy warriors to sacrifice, the Spades use prey as offerings to Odin; making them skilled hunters. Plentiful in Elk, large birds, and rabbits; the Spade Clan trade in furs and meat with the other suits to obtain much-needed medicine. ━━━━▣━━◤◢━━▣━━━━━ |

Spade Values
━━━━▣━━◤◢━━▣━━━━━
The Spades are a strong and independent group. They admire bravery, courage, and strength from the members of their Clan. They value fairness and have an innate value for justice and equality for those within their Clan and outside of it. They focus on protection and hospitality as well as respect for the natural order of things.
━━━━▣━━◤◢━━▣━━━━━
Courage
Courage is one of the defining pillars of Spade culture. Without courage, a Spade cannot have honor or glory. The ultimate goal is glory in the afterlife, so be courageous in all that you do.
Fearlessness
Living a life in fear is a life not worth living. Be strong, and do not shy away from fear in the face of adversity. Conquer your fear and stand your ground.
Hospitality
Welcome those who are in need of shelter, food, or assistance. The hearth is the best place to find allies, and to be generous to a stranger may do well for the Clan in the end.
Generosity
Generosity is a strong contender for courage in the Spade Clan. When they are able to, they go above and beyond to bestow the best gifts upon others. Often, it is viewed as a competition to be the most generous gift-giver.
Loyalty
To break an oath is the highest form of disrespect to the Spade Clan. To be loyal to family, Clan, and brothers and sisters in arms is very important.
Integrity
Integrity goes hand in hand with loyalty. Spades expect every wolf to be a wolf of its word. If they are anything less than they are dishonorable.
Honor
Honor isn’t just an independent aspect for a Spade member. One’s family and Clan tie into honor and why it is valued so heavily by the Spades. A dishonorable act from one can affect the entire Clan.
Equality
Disputes in the Clan are resolved as a Clan. All Spades get an equal opportunity to present their case. All Spades are able to follow whichever path they choose, there is no discrimination among the Spades.
Justice
Crime is viewed as an offense against the entire community and often the accused has to face and respect the entire victim’s family. Holding each other accountable is very important to the Spades.
Frith
The Spade belief in goodwill and peace. The Spades value compassion despite their bloodthirsty nature. They do not hunt for fun or sport, but rather to support the Clan and their allies. Compassion is very honorable among the Spades.
